Description

Tabriz Bazaar, with an unknown exact founding date, was visited and praised by travelers like Ibn Battuta, Marco Polo, Yaghoot Hamavi, and others from the 4th century AH to the Qajar era. Situated on the Silk Road, it thrived as a key trade center with caravans from around the world, its gates serving as the city's main entrances. Tarbiat Sidewalk, also known as Tarbiat Khiavani or 29 Bahman Bazaar, dates back to the Silk Road. Built in 1308 by Mayor Mohammad Ali Khan Tarbiat, this central pedestrian path now connects Imam Khomeini Street to Ferdowsi and the Tabriz Bazaar area.
