Tabriz Bazaar: Inside the World's Largest Covered Market

In Tabriz, I explored the world’s largest covered bazaar, tasting dates with eggs, first-class kebabs, yogurt from terracotta pots, and Damascus rose jam. I sipped rich velvety tea infused with blue flowers and saw skinned sheep heads with googly eyes. Adventures included colliding with a motorbike (my fault), a 4-hour SIM card purchase, clumsy flirtations from the hostel manager, an Iranian 'send nudes' equivalent, a fancy dinner from a gentlemanly friend-of-a-friend, and being adopted by a bike tourer's family. After 130km cycled in a week, time to pedal on.
