Discover Mudanjiang: Snow City in Heilongjiang, China

Mudanjiang, alias Snow City, is a scenic tourist city in southeastern Heilongjiang Province, China. Located in northeast China with a 211 km border with Russia, it has a temperate monsoon climate, known as the 'South of the Seas' and 'Land of Fish and Rice'. Named after the Mudan River, a major tributary of the Songhua River, it features national highways G10 and G11, and railroads. Main attractions include Crater National Forest Park, Mudan Peak National Forest Park and Nature Reserve, Snow Country Ski Resort, Mudan Peak Ski Resort, Memorial Sculpture of Eight Women Throwing Themselves into the River, Northeast Tiger Forest Park in Hengdaohezi, and the winter snow fortress on the Mudan River.
