Description

Radom is a city in central Poland, 100 km south of Warsaw on the Mleczna River. In the Masovian Voivodeship since 1999, it was previously the capital of Radom Voivodeship. Historically part of Lesser Poland and the Sandomierz Voivodeship, it served as a key administrative center for the Kingdom of Poland. The Pact of Vilnius and Radom was signed here in 1401, and Nihil novi and Łaski's Statute were adopted at Radom's Royal Castle in 1505. Home to the biennial Radom Air Show, Poland's largest and most attended, held the last weekend of August. The city has about 220,000 inhabitants.
