Hangzhou Expat Episode 04 tells the story of Joe Langwald, a Canadian rock climber living in Lin'an District, Hangzhou. His Chinese name is Dashitou, meaning 'big stone.' He has spent 10 years developing Lion's Head in Lin'an into the largest bouldering and sport climbing base in eastern China. Joe enjoys local food, especially bamboo shoots in Lin'an. 'I've been in Hangzhou for 20 years, and this is already my home,' he says. 'Lion's Head in Lin'an has incredibly perfect granite; all are welcome to climb here at any time.'
