Description
Explore Chandranath Hill in Sitakunda, Bangladesh, a site of natural beauty and Hindu pilgrimage. Located 4km from Sitakunda market, access by foot or rickshaw from Basakund. The trail features small hills, Hindu religious structures, Tripura villages, flower gardens, and fountains. Paths divide: right with stairs, left via mountain trail, easier but with broken stairs. At 310m (1020ft) summit, Chandranath Temple is a Shakti Peeth where Goddess Sati's right arm fell. Views span hills east and ocean west. A waterfall near Sita Temple is dry; rainy season offers lush scenery but risky treks.
