Ride Shanghai Metro Line 7 to Meilan Lake and Luodian stations to discover Luodian New Town, also known as North European New Town. This Nordic-themed development replicates Sweden's Sigtuna, featuring Scandinavian architecture. Part of the 2001-2005 One City, Nine Towns initiative, it was designed by Swedish architects Sweco over 6.8 sq km. The central area, completed in 2004, centers on Meilan Lake, inspired by Lake Mälaren.
