Li River Trek: Yangdi to Xingping in Guilin, China

A 6-hour trek along the Li River from Yangdi to Xingping. Regular buses from Yangshuo to Yangdi take about 1 hour. After the Yangdi ferry crossing, the hike through farms and villages to the second ferry at Quanjiazhou takes about 1 hour. Take a raft and continue on foot to the third ferry at Nine Horses Mural Hill, where the tram to Xingping passes the scenery featured on the RMB 20 note. The tram ride is included in the fare for the three ferry crossings. Buses from Xingping Bus Station to Yangshuo run until about 8 pm. Starting from Xingping in the morning avoids backlighting on the RMB 20 scenery, but the last Yangdi-Yangshuo bus is around 5 pm.
