Magangué, in Colombia's Bolívar Department, is known as 'The Capital of the Rivers,' where the Cauca and San Jorge rivers flow into the Magdalena. Founded in 1610 and refounded in 1776, it is the second most populated city in the department after Cartagena. The city's port connects Sucre and Córdoba departments to the Magdalena River.
