Halle (Saale) is a city in Saxony-Anhalt, central Germany, just a 30-minute train ride from Leipzig. The tour starts near the train station along pedestrian Leipziger Straße with shops (closed Sundays, as in September 2020). We reach the Gothic Roter Turm bell tower and 16th-century Marktkirche at the central plaza, with clock tower, historic buildings, cafes, a summer event stage, and monument to Baroque composer Georg Friedrich Händel, born in Halle. We visit Göbelbrunnen, explore old town passing Dom zu Halle and Kunstmuseum Moritzburg, stroll smaller streets, and return to the station. Filmed in September 2020.
